Central Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Sub-dept., encouraging local residents to participate actively report violations of building permits.

"We want local people to report the buildings that violate the rule. That is by reporting to the nearest urban village, sub-district or sub-dept. offices," said Widodo Supriyatno, Head of Central Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Sub-dept., Wednesday (10/11).

Council Supports Illegal Building Control in Flat Area

According to him, his sub-dept. needs more supervisory officers. That is why locals are encouraged to participate to make a report.

"We only have 85 members divided from the level of sub-dept. to sub-district. At the sub-district, we only have three. Surely this is very less. Ideally one urban village has one officer," he closed.
